It’s not been a great start for Salman Khan’s forthcoming home production, ‘Dabangg 2’ after three technicians were injured on set at the famous Mehboob Studio’s in Bandra, Mumbai.

Sources say, while filming an action sequence, there was a short circuit that apparently led to the blast and Salman was just a few steps away from it.

Of course we all know that Salman follows the motto ‘Being Human’ and although he wasn’t hurt, he made sure that his technician’s were rushed to the hospital and treated with the best care.

At his comfort and at the time of his choosing. That’s how Salman Khan has reportedly been filming YRF’s Ek Tha Tiger lately.

There is an outflow of some disturbing tidbits from the sets of Ek Tha Tiger. It’s learnt that Salman Khan is displaying starry airs and has issued a diktat that bars the crewmembers from summoning him for shoot when he’s relaxing in his vanity van.

So even if the shot is ready to be filmed, the team has to, at times, twiddle their thumbs just waiting for the door of Salman’s vanity van to swing open and the star to step out. If that doesn’t happen, the team just whiles away the time. None dare knock on that door and tell the star to come out and shoot the scene.

The result: the shoot as reportedly been getting delayed.

This is not the first time Salman Khan has got the crew of Ek Tha Tiger bent over their backs. Earlier, he had reportedly refused to travel to Morocco to shoot a song and a special set had to be built in Film City just to pander to the superstar’s whims.

Congress party Demanding for ban on Shanghai movie song "Bharat Mata Ki Jai"

The Mumbai unit of the Congress party Tuesday called for a ban on the song ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ featured in a forthcoming Bollywood movie “Shanghai”, saying it hurts patriotic sentiments and degrades India.

In a letter addressed to union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ambika Soni, Mumbai Congress vice-president Charan Singh Sapra has contended that the content of the entire song is an insult to all countrymen who respect India as their motherland.

Hence it is very likely to inflame the feelings of all Indians, resulting in disharmony, rioting, breach of peace and tranquility within the country, Sapra said.

The song contains controversial words like Sarkari Hathiyaar, Dhandha, Chanda, Dengue, Malaria, Gobar (cowdung), which Sapra alleged are deliberately used to defame the country.

Such defaming language has been used despite the full knowledge that the same shall definitely wound the patriotic feelings and sentiments of the people, besides ridiculing and degrading India in the eyes of the world, he urged.

Sapra has sought an immediate and total ban on the song from being broadcast/telecast in any manner, deleting it from the movie and to fix accountability and initiate action against the concerned censor board officials who cleared the offensive number.

Based on the novel by Vassilis Vassilikos, “Shanghai” is a political thriller directed by D. Banerjee and stars Emraan Hashmi and Abhay Deol and is slated for release this Friday (June 8)

Jackie Shroff's son getting Trained by Aamir Khan for Dhoom:3

It seems, the word impossible doesn't exist in perfectionist Aamir Khan's dictionary. After playing a young college student in 3 Idiots and to flaunting his eight pack abs in Ghajini, now reports are that the 47-year-old actor is ready to take the challenge again.

Going by latest reports Aamir Khan, who will be seen playing the role of a gym instructor in Yash Raj Flms Dhoom: 3, is training hard for a perfect body. Reports are that the actor is being trained by none other than youngster Tiger, who is the son of Jackie Shroff.

Knowing how Aamir is, he would want a perfect look for the role. The actor is son going to start the film's shoot soon with hottie Katrina Kaif, who herself is being trained by ex-beau Salman Khan.

There were reports that Aamir, who is quite fond of Jackie's son, is keen about launching the young lad but nothing has been finalised yet.

According to a leading daily, Tiger has confirmed that he was a bit reluctant initially but now he is comfortable and that he and Aamir had "one long training session and more are to follow as soon."

Further reports suggest that Aamir will also have a trainer from the US to make him understand a few technicalities and get him that perfect look.

Imran Khan and Deepika got Golden Kela Award for Worst Acting

Imran Khan was named the worst actor and Deepika Padukone the worst actress at the fourth annual Golden Kela Awards Sunday, a spin-off of Hollywood's Razzies awards, which recognises the worst in cinema.

While Imran won the award for "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", Deepika was given the award for her performance in Prakash Jha's "Aarakshan". Shah Rukh Khan's sci-fi film "RA.One" walked away with two trophies for worst film and worst director for Anubhav Sinha. The award for the most atrocious lyrics went to Amitabh Bhattacharyya for "Pyar do pyar lo ("Thank You"), "Jigar ka tukda" ("Ladies vs Ricky Bahl"), and "Mutton" song ("Luv Ka The End"). "Teri meri" from "Bodyguard" was named most irritating song.

Prateik was given the for worst supporting actor award for "Dum Maaro Dum" and "Aarakshan". A special Platinum Kela award was however given to filmmaker Kanti Shah for excellence in cinema.

"I'm feeling good at being invited at the event. It's special because its been organised by true fans of my style of movie-making. I have been to other award shows as well, but this definitely is special being solely driven by fans of my movies," said Shah, on receiving the award.

Actor Pankaj Kapoor's maiden directorial venture "Mausam" got the Bawra Ho Gaya Ke Award, while Chirag Paswan won the worst debutante for "Miley Na Miley Hum", and Esha Deol won the award for the worst attempt at a comeback for "Tell Me O Kkhuda".
The Lajja award for worst treatment of a serious issue went to "Aarakshan" and Pritam was awarded the Bas Kijiye Bohut Ho Gaya award. However, there was a special category of 'Anti-Kela' awards for the films that were the saving graces of 2011. The recipients were "Yeh Saali Zindagi", "Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster", "Shaitan" and "Shor in the City".

"I think Sudhir should be the one accepting this. I'm quite honored and amused to accept this award. It is good to see this movie getting some recognition. And you guys obviously have a great choice," said an ecstatic Arunoday Singh, on receiving the award for "Yeh Saali Zindagi".

Ajay Devgn spends 5 crore on action scene in his film

Keeping in mind his recent hit parade at the box office during Diwali, Ajay Devgn is leaving nothing to chance vis-à-vis his festival release.

The latest is that he’s spending about Rs 5 crore just for the set that is being created by art director Sabu Cyril at a Bandra studio, where the song will be shot later this month. A well-placed source associated with the Ashwini Dheer directed film tells us that the veteran art director is creating a motorcycle theme discotheque.

“This kind of concept has not been seen in a Hindi film before. Sabu is using various architectural ideas to come up with a set that will facilitate shooting from various angles,” says our informer, adding that in keeping with the theme, 30-35 imported motorcycles will be used for the shoot.

“The price of the bikes ranges from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. Besides, motorcycle accessories will also be used as props. The set will also have extensive lighting,” adds our source. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya will also be incorporating some stunts for the song.

As our source adds, “Ajay will also be performing a couple of stunts, which will be incorporated in the choreography for him. While the song will be shot over five days, Ganesh will rehearse a few days before with the others to get the timing for the bike stunts right.”

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s marriage is what has well been in news since the day the couple started dating each other. Since then, the entire media has been after them to get the wedding date. Well, the couple had made the announcement of the marriage few months back that after their movie ‘Agent Vinod’ would be released, they would tie the nuptial knot. Even the reports for Kareena’s ordering a heavyweight royal necklace also surfaced the web. It was enough for the media to be silent since the duo was fed up answering the questions. But it did give them full projection that they started being on the bigger headlines.
Now as the movie has been released and the wedding date (as they had announced ‘by the end of March 2012’) has also passed, the media has once again moored the belts to ask the couple the wedding date. The rumors have now begun moving about the new marriage date i.e. 16th October.

Rowdy Rathore Box Office Collections

Estimated Earnings of Rowdy Rathore on Day 1 is 12 crores.
And yes you now get to see Akhshay Kumar in a completely new avatar. Some say it is somewhat close to Akshaya’s Khiladi look however we find his act in Rowdy Rathore to be plane simple raw. The raw look seems bound to leave quite an impact and with the IPL season over and no other good movie in sight Rowdy Rathore is sure to be a bang on hit.
The movie has already received an amazing start in most parts of the countries. Housefull multiplexes and single screen theaters present the whole story. It seems the movie is doing better business in single screen theaters than in multiplexes. Single screen theaters in UP and Delhi say a 85% plus occupancy rate on day 1. The entire northern Indian region sees a similar fate. Down south and Maharashtra the movie is going a bit slow with an average of 65% occupancy rate. However, the figures are only expected to improvise by the weekend.
We predict a 1st day opening of 12 crores for Rowdy Rathore.

Rowdy Rathore (2012) Movie Review

Renowned choreographer Prabhu Deva’s Rowdy Rathore has been quite in news and the film has been making bigger waves among the masses. The promotional activities and the promos really ignited the sparks for the flick inside the masses that the liking developed for the enterprise. Akshay Kumar returns to the genre of action after a long hiatus. It will be a good change for the actor and his fans to see him doing action once again after years. Prabhu Deva, the man whose dancing skills are enough to put him in limelight all the time, earlier had brought the regional content into the re-making mode of Hindi cinema in shape of Salman Khan starrer Wanted. The film made bigger business at the box office and registered mammoth impression on the minds of the cinegoers. The songs, action and Salman’s dialogues all got hugely popular among the masses.
This time Prabhu Deva brings in another regional stuff to Hindi celluloid. Rowdy Rathore is the remake of the Telugu superhit film ‘Vikramarkudu’ (2006), a film by the luminous filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. Before being attempted in Hindi, the flick was remade in various other languages as well such as Tamil and Bengali.
The producers of the film Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala left no stone unturned for the apt promotions of the movie. Akshay Kumar’s style with moustache got already quite popular and it might be well adopted by his fans from now onwards.
Shiva (Akshay Kumar), a small time thief and crook, loves the crazy acts of daredevilry. He loses his heart to Priya (Sonakshi Sinha). One day, he gets the bigger shock when a cute six-year old little girl Neha enters into the scene and claims that Shiva is her father. Shocked Shiva now moors the belts to find out the truth behind this claim of the little girl. Soon it unzips to him that this little girl is actually the daughter of an IPS Officer Vikram Singh Rathore (Akshay Kumar). The unzipping takes Shiva to a small town in Bihar which is terrorized by a callous-cruel antagonist (Nassar).
Prabhu Deva’s most attention-grabbing and alluring skill is to make this flick entertaining. It holds entertainment quotient fully from tip to toe and that is the thing which glues the viewers to their seats till the end. The flick is laced with all the masala needed to spice up today’s viewers.
The plot is though the replica of the original movie but Deva makes some changes to attract the Hindi viewers. The screenplay is super powerful. Admit, there are some loopholes but they are ignorable. The first half of the film carries utter entertainment to lure the hearts and the post interval portion possesses the action to boil the blood into veins. But Deva maintains the entertainment ingredient there as well.
Prabhu Deva is a classy storyteller. The man is equipped with brilliant histrionics to put the story aptly on celluloid. Like Wanted, this effort of Deva will also have potential to make home with the masses. Cinematography by Santosh Thundiyil is magnum-opus. Sajid-Wajid’s music is a treat to listen to. Chinta Ta Ta allures the hearts the most. Rest of the album too carries weight. Shiraz Ahmad’s dialogues work big time. Action is the top notch element of the movie and Akshay’s fans will certainly love the stunts.
Akshay Kumar has come up into action mode long time after and he displays his action prowess as usual with brilliance. His double roles attract the viewers. He plays a cop and a petty thief in this film. Sonakshi Sinha enacts the part with aplomb. She looks marvelously gorgeous in desi avatar. Nassar is brilliant. Rest of the cast portrays the characters with ease as well. The film was in the news recently, when it was reported that Akshay Kumar was almost wounded by a bullet while shooting. The amount of gunpowder used in the bullets was slightly higher than the normal level and it apparently could have rsulted in a very serious injury for Akshay. Akshay managed to escape with no harm done incidently, but the action director Mahindre Verma apologized to Akshay profoundly for the incident.

Final Verdict by the Critic:

Rowdy Rathore is a classy entertainer with required dose of entertainment, action, dances and emotions. Watch it for Akshay Kumar who shows off his action skills once again to the moviegoers.
